After some wild weather, including hail in April, my violets are blooming!
A very dear friend gave me the first plant many years ago. They are a variety that has long stems and very large leaves in the summer. Some people actually think they are undesirable plants because they spread. When I was young, we had them around the house, but the plants were much smaller. I ♥ them!!
The week my Basket of Gold is also in bloom.
Over the years this flower garden at my mom's has been a family project. I plant a few more bulbs each fall and do the weeding and some of the cleaning. It's too early for the annuals.
My brother built the retaining wall and waters the yard and garden.
My mom and dad brought back the rocks from trips to the mountains, usually just a day trip because farmers and cattle feeders don't take time off. And when they do, it's because it rained!
I'm linking to Today's Flowers. Hope you enjoyed my springtime in Colorado colors today.

Hi Marilyn, your flowers are gorgeous and what a lovely gift. All your photos are delightful, thank you for sharing them.
All are so pretty! Love those luscious tulips. I don't give my violets much thought, but they are pretty - they tend to bloom next to my dandelions.
Beautiful and lovely spring flower pictures!!

Your garden is full of gorgeous blooms. I just love the bright colours and garden style.
Hi. I've been enjoying your comments on my blog and catching up reading yours. I don't doubt this has been a very difficult year for you. I'm glad you're getting through it. I'm glad you have the Lord! I agree with you on how blogging gets you to see things differently, in a good way. Realizing what you have, its history and meaning. I agree too that I don't want to take things for granted ... faith included and especially. AND that IS some squirrel condo you have there! Wow! I only hope my gardener squirrel doesn't have a lot of friends. Saw two squirrels yesterday. Uh oh. The neighbor has relocated them over the years b/c of their pecan trees. Take care, Love, Jenn
