Share Your Nativity Scene

I've found a party that I want to join this month. I'll be joining Lynn at Happier
Than a Pig in Mud
on December 14. Perhaps you'll want to join her, too. For more details click on the link or picture to visit our hostess.

Things are still dull around here, as school is keeping me busy. Thanksgiving vacation was wonderful, but still have projects to finish on Christmas break. This week we had rehearsal for our bells Christmas service and I have game duty for a High School basketball game. Saturday is a holiday tea party in Greeley at Houston Gardens. That will be the highlight of my week!

I would welcome your prayers for healing for my cousin's new granddaughter that was born with a hole in her heart. Addison Joy was in surgery for almost seven hours last Friday. I know how difficult it is to have a family member in critical care and would also like to ask for peace and comfort for Addison's mommy and daddy. Peace and love to you. ♥♫

Colorless

My world has been colorless lately. Double click on the picture and you can actually see a blue dog tag on Buster!
Even my weathervane is OFF...the wind just turns it around even after I point things in the right direction. It should be pointing south.
You can tell we had a little snow. I want it to be really cold to finish off the rest of the flies that are still buzzing around in the house. And there will be huge grasshoppers in February and March, too, unless something kills them now. Like cold, wet weather, perhaps.

I do love my copper rain chain that I use as garden eye candy. I didn't even take these pictures, a friend of Sarah's came home with her and went out with the camera!
Haven't posted lately because who really wants to hear about a broken tooth, an air compressor that won't run, a car that is making a funny noise, a routine visit to the doctor, school projects, bell rehearsal (true pleasure), piles of laundry, and a messy house. Sarah fixed the air compressor, though--she showed me that it has an off and on button. Wally never shut it off, we just unplugged it until we needed it. She is such a genius!!

Plain Tea

I'm always happy to be included in Sandi's Tea Time, even though my posts are so simple and plain. Sometimes, I feel like Sarah, Plain and Tall, except I'm rather short and plump. Yet it gives me such pleasure to visit as many pretty blogs as I can before the next week comes around.
Last week was such a busy one with conferences scheduled after school during two evenings. It makes a very tiring day to be at school twelve hours and by Friday we are all exhausted--even my younger colleagues (we could all masquerade as tired teachers for Halloween)! Our school district has allowed us to have compensatory time on these Fridays and I am thankful I can relax with a late breakfast and enjoy several cups of tea.
A friend gifted me with this unusual tea pot this past February for my birthday and my aunt sent us a set of birdie mugs and plates one Christmas. I thought this mountain blue bird would look nice with the last of my delphiniums. No more until next spring. :-(

A quote by C.S. Lewis is one I've seen many times and describes my three day weekend:

You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.

Plain or fancy, enjoy your tea time and reflect on the gifts from God that make each November a time of gratitude. Peace and grace to you! ♥♫
