PBS Wishes

Every once in a while I have a wish granted on my Paper Back Swap list. I can select my titles and have them on automatic request so that if I'm first on the list, as soon as the book is available, it will be mailed to me for FREE! If you have special conditions about books that you want, you can let the sender know, as in dust jackets, non-smoking homes, etc. The only drawback is that one must have patience to wait.
This arrived this week and gave me ideas for a "someday" tea party for my students. They would love to celebrate and I am thinking this spring would be an excellent time for a reward for their diligence and practice in improving their reading skills! I saved $19.95 and the book and jacket are in perfect condition.

Click on the PBS image and you will go right to their site.

I've never heard of this PBS - sounds like a good idea. I'll check it out. Sorry you had the crud - hope next week is better. Talked to Mike tonite - he's glad it's the weekend, but has to do concessions at basketball tomorrow afternoon. You teachers are underpaid and overworked!!!! Take care, Sally

That is really neat! I think having a tea to celebrate would be great too. How would the boys be w/that? Or is the class all girls? But, etiquette at tea is a good thing for both. (Yes!)
Thanks for stopping by - you've been by a couple of times. Thanks.

I want to find that hymn you mentioned playing - All God's Creatures - for some reason I can almost hear it playing - and wonder why. Maybe I have heard it before?

Good to "see ya". Take care! Hugs, Jenn

That sounds like a great idea! (We get the huge drifts here too, but the wind wasn't as bad this time.)
