The blue skies and warm fall temperatures were a bonus when we spotted this magnificent flag gently blowing in the breeze.
We just stood for several minutes watching the flag, waiting for the perfect moment. Trying to avoid the utility lines would have meant take a picture directly into the sun and wouldn't have worked. What a wonderful sight!

I have to stop and just stare every time I see our nation's flag...so glorious! So many people have died so we can have that beauty flying! :)

Hey - just taking some time to get about blogland (doing Pink Saturday too). I love seeing the USA flag. Blesses me. Hope all is well w/you! Take care! Hugs, Jenn -- I'm back over on the other blog ... "final answer". :)
The blue, blue sky makes a wonderful backdrop!
Thank you for your lovely comments Marilyn. To find ANY calico pieces is quite rare, and it's taken me years to get the few bits I have, and yes the plate was super cheap! I'm quite certain the shop didn't realise just what a treasure they had ;o) They'd also got 6 each cups, saucers and side plates in brown calico pattern, but as the colour doesn't appeal to me I'd left them for someone else to find.
Hope you have a great week.
Best wishes, Rose H
So cool! I love our flag! When visiting Arizona last week I saw the Colorado flag flying at the cross country meet. I tried to get a really good shot! I need to put my photos up!
