Arts Picnic and Stainless Flower Art

I'm joining in the fun with two blogs today, again. The Tablescaper, for all kinds of summer fun and Today's Flowers, for world wide floral beauty.

The Greeley Arts Picnic is this weekend. Sarah and I went early on Saturday morning to get there before too many people headed downtown to Lincoln Park.
This park is two blocks long by one block wide so there is room for many talented people to display their work. There are also several stages set up so people can enjoy performances from bands and others.
The parking lot I favor is in the middle of another block and on the way back to the car I had to take a photo of this cute balcony above a shop of some kind.
I brought home this stainless steel "flower". Even the leaves are stainless and were cut with a plasma saw. The artist had so many choices, all different. Some were made from spoons and reminded me of sunflowers.
Other pieces were put together from gold flatware ~ all rustproof!
I'm thinking it may stay with this asparagus fern in one of the window boxes for now.
Join the fun and visit more places today!

I like this! I can just "see" the ones made out of spoons, it's a really neat idea-enjoy!

I started reading your post, and caught the name Greeley, and said "what - she lives near here?" but in your description, you said Colorado, so it has to be another Greeley. I like the artwork you brought home!! I have never seen anything like that done in stainless flatware, only silver. I have earrings and bracelet, and a windchime, made from silver spoon handles.

It looks like you had a freat time at the art show. The flower made of old spoon handles is really neat and looks great in the window box.

Thanks so much for coming and being a part of "Summer Sundays". Looking forward to seeing you next Sunday too!

Hi sweet lady...

Ohhh...I just love your silverware flower! I haven't ever seen anything like that...it's gorgeous! It sure does look pretty in your fern! I didn't even know that Greeley had an Arts Fair...I would love it! You know, I was born in Greeley (my old stomping grounds...hehe!) but for the life of me cannot think where Lincoln Park is? Hmmm...old age!

Well my friend, it sounds like you are having a fabulous summer break! I took a gander around a few of your posts...your yard looks gorgeous! You have sooo many pretty flowers! In your note, you mentioned something about my design brain cells...I think I need some of your gardening brain cells, my friend!!! I don't get much of that done! I'm so glad that you stopped by for a visit! I really appreciated and enjoyed all of the sweet notes that you've left for me lately! Since I was out for two weeks, I'm now playing "catch up" here! I don't think I'll even get close though! hehe!

Have a fabulous day, my friend!
Warmest wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design
