Flowers in June

I'm joining Today's Flowers!

Each morning finds me outside doing garden/yard work. Didn't get anything done last week when I was in class or on the road. I never do seem to want to work in the house. Park Hill garden tour tomorrow in Denver with Sarah!
The delphiniums are especially pretty right now.
When I looked at the individual flowers, I noticed the spurs in the middle.
Barbra Streisand from Weeks Roses is one bush I planted in Wally's memory. Click on the name to read more. I really believe he would have loved this one.
This is one of our Rocky Mountain penstemons . I used to have it at another house before we moved here. It really needs to be moved to a drier spot in the garden because it would spread more.
I think I was successful in spraying some weeks this morning. Next up is spraying for the grasshoppers. If you look closely there are some eating the violet leaves! There are too many to ignore, so I'm hoping the good bugs will be hiding when I start that job. Wishful thinking, I know. I do love my ladybugs, butterflies, and the occasional preying mantis.

OOOOOhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Gorgeous, gorgeous flowers. Lovely pics. You've captured such beauty.

We're having a heat wave and I'm about to melt.
Have a cold cloth on the back of my neck and getting ready to cooool off.

God bless you and have a sweet week-end,

Marilyn,
Love the delphiniums...I just don't seem to have the soil for those. I adore them, but they just don't thrive here. :( I will have to enjoy yours instead. :)
We did have a good time on our little trip to Ohio! I was so happy to get a decent pic of the statue of Jesus before it burned. I thought it was kind of strange that I took that and it burned up soon after. It was a beautiful statue, sure hope it gets rebuilt soon. :)
Have a great weekend and be blessed!

I LOVE delphiniums!!!! I love that they are BLUE and that the backs of then look like they've been twisted.

Looking forward to having you join us on the 20th for Summer Sundays!

Your flowers are beautiful - I love the delphiniums, especially.

I hope you can get rid of the grasshoppers without using harmful pesticides. The internet has some great information about using natural remedies for bug control. Good luck with this problem.

Such beautiful delphiniums! I know how you feel about gardening. I only have a roof to keep my bed dry.

Wonderful blooms, I would much rather be in the garden than doing housework, especially when the sun is shining and the flowers are calling to me. Thank you for sharing your photos with us today and have a great week.
