White Rain and Sunshine

It's wet outside and quiet because our rain is white-as in snow!
It most likely won't hurt my bits of sunshine.
Out on the plains where it's windy, my early blooming plants must be sturdy.
Even though some are shy and peek out at the world.
May your day be full of quiet delights and lots of sunshine.

Dainty Daffodils

I'm so happy when I go out in the morning to see the daffodils blooming. These are my favorites.
They last a long time with our very cool mornings.
The pale yellow contrasts so well with the darker trumpet.
The tulips are budding now and will be next. I like the fact that they don't all bloom at the same time and stretch the season.

Thanks to Today's Flowers for hosting this event. ♥♫

Daffy Down Dilly

I am so excited that I have flowers blooming. AT LAST. Ah...
The theme must be miniatures lately because these are tiny ones. The flax and violets are also growing now that we've had warmer days.
Lots of cleaning to do and rearranging, such as the black fencing that was holding back something last summer.
Daffy down dilly has come to town,
In a yellow petticoat and a green gown.

I'm linking to Today's Flowers as seen in my sidebar. This is the first time I've joined in and think this will be a great blog to visit!

Heat Wave-Goodbye Spring?

It's time to say good-bye to my daffodils. Summer is coming soon...with a high of 90 degrees today, it may be sooner than June 21! There are just a few tulips left, and with cooler weather tomorrow, they may last until the weekend.

Another sign summer is coming is the count down of school days. With only 11 more days to go, even I am starting to get restless. Usually, I don't keep track of what's left because I always have more, more, more for the kids to read.
