Sweet Phlox

The phlox  have been blooming and scenting the air with their sweet fragrance. This was an original plant from several years ago.
These below are volunteers in a slightly different pink, because the new plants are not true to the original color.
The white phlox are "David", the only name I remember.
The pink ones in the middle were the first to open and are now on their second set of flowers. The rain helps clean off the spent blossoms so no deadheading is needed.
There are some lighter pink ones that will add their beauty to my front flower bed soon. Hope that your summer days are full of sunshine and flowers.

Volunteers

It seems Johnny One Note is here. Another pink flower. This one is a  volunteer. A soothing color that is softer than the original plant whose name I don't remember. It is not as memorable as David, my white phlox. The other volunteer is darker. Of the three pink plants I like this the most. It will be fun to see what happens next year as the volunteers are not exact copies of the mother plant.
Do I grow anything else besides pink flowers?

Yes, I do.
But it's what is pretty right now.

So Darol, when you read this you are seeing ANOTHER pink one from my garden!!

David Phlox

I am linking this post to Today's Flowers. There are many beautiful sites to visit! Click on the link or the picture and take a trip around the world.

After a day inside for teachers, coming home to these heavenly phlox was refreshing. I love to double click on the pictures to see them LARGER than life.
First day back for staff-August 10!!!
The air is so sweet in the front of the house that it should be bottled and sold as perfume.
It's odd that I can remember their name, but have forgotten the name of the pink variety. Add pink is my favorite color.

Besides being the first day back to school, I should now have faster internet. And wouldn't you know I wanted to try it out right away and blogger was not letting anyone log on - they were fixing something. So I still had to wait! I'm praying for patience...NOW! ;D...♥♫
