Hardy Hibiscus

This garden of tropical looking hibiscus is about 20 miles east of Fort Collins. To see the blossoms better, you may click and enlarge the photos.
Spread your hand out and you'll be able to tell the size of the flowers.
It was bright and sunny during the afternoon, but was told they look better in the morning. Like most of us, I'm sure. ;D
They like this warm wall of brick.
Whispering white- "Look at me!"
This is their second year in this spot.
Thanks to the team for letting me join in!
Hope you enjoyed your visit this week.

I love the big gorgeous hibiscus. I don't have one, but there is one in someone's yard that I pass every day. I always know that it is Aug. 1, as it blooms right on schedule every year, and it is as large as a dinner plate. It brings me such joy - I don't know why I don't have one in my yard! Have a good week. Sally

I adore hibiscus! My girls couldn't say hibiscus when they were little ... they called them "have a biscuit"! I still find myself calling them that today :)

Hi, Marilyn - After you asked about my Today's Flowers post, I looked up the name of the plant. It is hairy willow herb, Epilobium hirsutum and is native in Ontario and Quebec south through Michigan and New England. The book says it is similar yo fireweed, E. augstifolium, except for the hairy leaves. That might grow in Colorado.

Hey lady! :) Some day you'll get a grand baby to take to the orchard..you just hold on long enough! lol Oh, and the orchard would still be a great outting for you and your 30 year old...that place is ageless! (and the pies at ours are to die for! lol)
Your flowers are beautiful...mine aren't looking so great these days..the heat has done a lot of them in! :-o
Hugs

Those are lovely looking flowers. I'm always impressed when people can get things like that to grow in Colorado, with our challenging climate.

All of my flowers are DEAD in Oklahoma. Even some of our shrubs. They just couldn't handle the heat! :(

Beautiful garden you have friend. Do you hire out?

Beautiful flowers! My flowers on Remington Drive aren't looking too good any more. I think they are getting ready for Mr. Winter.... Hope you have a fun week!

Thanks for your comment on my mirror makeover..I just love it! Oh and vlog was a new term to me just a few short months ago too! I was nervous to put a video of me on my blog...especially since the lighting in that room makes me look 10 years older than I do in real life, but then I figured people could probably care less and would just like to learn the info. :) I got over it! lol
Have a great day!
