I was up at 5:00 a.m. hoping that school would be called off because of all the snow. Actually at that time it wasn't so bad. School still wasn't canceled at 5:30, so I gave in and took my shower and got dressed. Then finally a little after 6, it was closed!! By then, I was awake. Later I just couldn't get the back door open to take a picture, so stuck my head and camera out the front door around 11. (picture above)
Just after 4:00 I bravely opened the door again and took a second shot. Blowing snow is drifting higher and it is STILL snowing. Hard to see across the road. Our main highway through northeastern Colorado, I-76, is closed west of here, and on to the Nebraska line, yet there is traffic on our road...cattle trucks, dairy feed trucks, and a few crazy people in cars. Maybe they work next door??
BTW, these are not black and white photos, that is just what everything looks like today!
So, what have I done? Not much. Trying to get over a 'bug' that has zapped my energy, so I rested, did just one load of laundry, ran the dishwasher. Oh, the difficulty of pushing those buttons. So much exertion, I HAD to take a nap! Did lots of blog visits and read a little. What should I be doing?? The wedding jewelry!!!
No school tomorrow as well. That was scheduled as a day off on the school calendar. YIPEE!

This looks so pretty when you can stay inside a warm home.
Enjoyed seeing your post today.
It just rained here today...no snow yet.
Hope you get to feeling better real soon.
Yes, a give away!!!!!

It just started snowing here tonight! I'm hoping it sticks! I'm ready for snow and no more mud!
Have a wonderfully blessed evening!

Wow... look at all that snow!!! My kids would love that right about now.
Thanks for visiting... I usually share recipes on my blog, but the almond chiffon cake is part of an online baking group featuring the new book Rose's Heavenly Cakes by Rose Levy Beranbaum, and we're not to share the recipes online... so sorry. :(...
Don't let that stop you from visiting though... I share all of my own recipes, photos, helpful hints, etc.
Take care,
:)

I'm making some for friends and then the others are for my own tree this year! This Christmas will be the first year to have a full size tree! the past 3 Christmas's we have had a little one!
I'm part of 2 ornament exchanges so I might use a couple of my ornaments for those! but I'm not to satisfied with them so I might just got out and buy a couple!
Have a very blessed day!

Wow!!
The pictures are amazing. I love looking at snow and if I can stay home I like having it for a couple of days. But not anymore than that! We don't get much snow here. I'm afraid of driving in any snow. If we get just enough to cover the roads, I will get someone to pick me up!
Stay warm and take care,
Sharon
Brrrrrr .... but it's beautiful! We don't get much snow here in West Tennessee so, when it does happen, it's a fairly significant event. We have neither snow plows nor drivers with much experience on snow and ice ... so it's also a big mess!
Your photos are dramatic and eerily beautiful ... perfect for Halloween!
Have a nice weekend .. keep warm!
Bill
