April Violets

Can you see it?
Today is the first day I spotted my sweet violets.
There will be many more to make my heart happy.
There are many new ones popping through the dry crust, too. It's a wonder they can break through because it's been so dry here............
This one had to come inside with me while we wait for some sort of moisture. I suppose it is going to have to come from under ground, through the well, instead of dropping down from the sky.

I'm joining Today's Flowers. Go visit to see all the lovlies around the world by clicking on the link or the picture at the top.

It really is dry, isn't it? At least you got a little snow last week. We've had nothing. The garden is so slow - the spinach and peas are just now peaking through and they were planted 4 weeks ago. Enjoy the weekend. Sally

I always wonder if those are plant or weeds because there's so many of those in our backyard and I wanted to transfer them but worried that it will overpower my other plants in the flower beds.

It would be a delight to have you come and visit my flower post for today. Thanks!

Do you know about the Cosican Violet?! It is the BEST flower for Colorado (voted Plant Select) - first and last to bloom each year. Self-sower too. How I miss my Colorado garden (sigh)... Thank you for sharing your corner of CO

Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes....Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it.

Great pics!

We're waiting and hoping for rain here (Texas). It's so dry and so many problems with wildfires - almost everywhere. Pretty violets! Always enjoy hearing from you and checking in with you. Hugs, Jenn
