Trick or Treat

I don't like orange and I don't like Halloween. But I'll do almost anything for my mom. She has three trick-or-treaters that come visit on Halloween and she wants something to give them. The junk in the stores doesn't appeal to me and I'm the shopper, so I told her I'd make something for her.
I'd saved some cans that I opened on the bottom, washed, dried, and sprayed the tops for this project. Bought some candies, papers and a new punch. Filled the cans with candy and glued the bottom back on. There must be a better glue for this, but I just used what I found at home.
That little finger has never been trained to curl in--it was always out there when I took piano lessons and still has a mind of its own to this day!

Here's the new punch purchased with a 40% off coupon!! I always check my email for coupons for Michael's and Hobby Lobby before going to town. We don't get the fliers out here, but I do like a bargain.
Cut the papers and glued on trims and decided to add the scalloped circle to the lid.
I'm sure there are a lot of "extras" I could have put on, like fall leaves, buttons, pumpkins, etc. These will be OK and I'm happy with them.
Here's a much better tutorial that I found at Split Coast Stampers.

Hi Marilyn...

My friend, if these are the most adorable little trick-or-treats that I've ever seen! Ohhh...you did such an outstanding job creating these pretties! I love the pretty papers that you picked...that black and white houndstooth is awesome! Love, love, LOVE THESE! Forget the kids...I want one! wink! Hehe! Ohhh...that sounded so bad, didn't it? Anyway, I just know the kiddos will love them! Thanks for sharing the pretties with us!

You know, I don't do halloween either. I really enjoy decorating for autumn but never have done any type of halloween decor. My girls never even went trick-or-treating when they were little. We always did a big fall harvest party for our kiddos at church instead.

Well sweet lady, I hope that you're having a wonderful weekend! It sure was pretty out today...a little cool but nice! Tomorrow looks like it will be perfect! Take care and enjoy, Darlin'!

Warmest autumn wishes,

What a neat treat.

This put some ideas in my head. I thought about sending my folks some treats for Halloween. This gives me a super charge.

God bless,
