Farmer's Market

Join the Summer Sundays fun at The Tablescaper!
It's time for #9 !
When Sarah and I got moving this morning we went over to The Tattered Cover~my favorite book store in Colorado~and walked across Colfax to a Farmer's Market.
The parking garage gave me a perfect bird's eye view of the fountain and vendors.
Most with produce grown in Colorado.
Colorful displays.
Good stuff.
Tall statues.
Women.
Men.
Must find out what and why they are there.
Nice grilled lunch with Rocky Ford watermelon fresh from the field! Being gone for two days playing and painting at Sarah's means I came home to dry flowers. Watered and refreshed both them and me. Called for my mom's grocery list for tomorrow and then will take her to her dentist appointment in the afternoon.

Be sure to visit all the participants by going back to our hostess! Thanks for stopping by!

What a spectacular Farmer's Market and what a setting to have it in. The fruit looked unbelievably beautiful and delicious. I loved the sculptures too. What fun you must have had, hope you found plenty of fun things to buy, although just looking is lots of fun too. Have a great Sunday.

I just love meeting new friends blogging. So glad you are knowledgeable about butterflies. I did not look up the caterpillar and just assumed it would be ready around September when I THOUGHT I had them before. Now, I am not sure. Anyway, several years ago I was distraught when I realized my parsley was covered in "worms" and I picked at least 15 or 20 off and threw them away. My friend told me I had killed monarchs and I felt terrible. This year I was being nice letting them eat my fennel I've had for two years. Got the picture of it and it has given me a good number of new friends so it has been good to me. The story does not end there because I witnessed a pair of cardinals feasting on the caterpillars. Don't know if any made it.

Thank you for educating me about the butterflies. Did you see the picture before the caterpillar ? What kind of butterfly is that?

I, too, love the Tattered Cover and Farmer's markets. What a great find, the two of them side by side. I saw those statues this summer when we were at East High for a baseball game. They're beautiful.
