It's always a good thing for us to stop in at Michael's when we make the 40 plus mile trek to "town". Lucky for us there were some bargains when we went last weekend.

After seeing pretty ribbons added to spiral notebooks SOMEWHERE(?) last week, I had to try it out. Sarah and I decided we liked the pink one better with the wider ribbons. I tied the pink ones with regular double knots and liked them better than the loops on the green and purple one.

I finished the green and purple one before Sarah went back to Denver and she is using it for
wedding notes. (happy sigh!) ;D
Now for
PAY IT FORWARD-"The expression "
pay it forward" is used to describe the concept of asking that a good turn be repaid by having it done to others instead."
from WikipediaWhen visiting a Colorado blog,
French Laundry, I read about this idea going on in the Land of Blog. It sounds like a lot of fun, and I must be crazy to want to be doing this, but it does sound very easy to participate because you don't have to send anything out today or tomorrow, but you
MUST send something. And since it is something handmade, you know this takes some time to do. Please note: I am a teacher (very little free time) and a slow worker, so the wait time may be a little longer. So if you are wanting a speedy pay it forward, you may want to visit someone else.
The first 5 people who comment on this post will receive a gift handmade by me, Marilyn. In return, you must write a blog post explaining
Pay It Forward 2011 and send your first five commenters a gift handmade by you. I am hoping there will be five people wanting to join the fun.
"It's not the size of the item that matters, but the spirit of paying it forward."
