Portland Rose

A lovely picture from Sarah's trip to Portland last summer. And magic with her fingers, the computer and email!! She can do so many things with the technology that I must be told and retold. Thanks, Dolli.

Proverbs 3:6

In  all  your  ways  acknowledge  him,  and  he  will  make  your  paths  straight.  New  International  Version

I  have this verse on a heart above my sink as a reminder about how to serve God each day.  My patience seems to be in short supply some days and I need a visual to focus on.  This one does it for me.  My hope for you dear readers is to have a safe and happy week.  I'll be back to the Land of Blog whenever I get to see Missy Sarah.  She won't be coming home next weekend, so it may be two weeks.  We will have to figure out funding for a new computer.  (i.e. it's not in the budget).

Computer drowned by stumbling woman

Girly Comments & Graphics

I am sad that I won't be posting because my computer is no longer working.

I was thirsty so I got a glass of water.  While trying to answer the phone, I stumbled, spilled the water on the laptop, and killed it!  DEAD!  NOTHING WORKS!  For now, my posting will be limited. Unless I Sarah comes home with her lap top or we go to visit in Denver, I'm out of luck!

Good News--the antidepressant is starting to work for Wally.  At least that is what he told me today.  I have to take his word for it because I have no idea how his brain/body is feeling.  He usually doesn't complain unless he's in A LOT of pain.

Brrrr.
..it's been very cold today. I guess it seems terrible because we had such nice warm temperatures early last week. While shopping with the two Sarah's **last Saturday, we saw huge, fluffy, gorgeous snowflakes in Fort Collins, for about 3 minutes. Yes! The snow lasted about three minutes total. Everyone around here would have loved to have 2 feet of snow with all that precious moisture for the farmers.

**I am a lucky mommy because one of the Sarahs is mine, and the other is borrowed. Their middle initials are even the same, so one is Sarah
Joy (ours) and the other is Sarah Josephine. Sarah Jo is my mentee from her first year teaching at our school. I love that both of them spell it with an 'H' (at the end of their name). One time someone asked our Sarah how her name was spelled and she replied, "With an H". So that person, apparently not knowing Sarah from the Bible, wrote it "HSara"!!

Jeremiah 29:11 New International Version

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Back in the Land of BLOG

Just thought these chicks went with my new calendar. And they make me think of SPRING which is on its way. Several days this week we had temperatures in the 60's and 70's accompanied by the WIND most days. Today is cloudy and dreary looking, though. We need rain/snow!! The irrigation canals (I call them big ditches) are full of tumble weeds that must be burned before the water "comes in". The ditch riders and crews have an extremely dangerous job when they go out in the spring. There has already been one home destroyed and another fire that burned 1000 acres near our home.

Some things are better for Wally--the colitis is starting to "go away" for now with the help of the steroids. They are a double edged sword-- good for the colitis, bad for the rest of the body. The depression is still wreaking havoc, however. The first meds had horrible side effects, the next isn't quite working yet. I'd appreciate your prayers for him in this struggle.
