There are several in my garden doing a great job of looking cute whereas some are very menacing and scary looking.
My colleagues at school had given me a gift certificate to our local garden center for my retirement so I looked around for the longest time and brought home "Defending Gargoyle", below.
However, I think my gargoyles missed the memo about protecting and keeping away evil spirits, otherwise known as naughty cats.
Because this is the second time my window box of ferns has landed on the sidewalk. Thank goodness the asparagus ferns seem to bounce right back!

I think the first one is so cute! I think we should give him a name!
Glad you found something to reward yourself with.
Excited to see you tomorrow!
I hope they don't blow away! Your new guy is cute. :-)
I need a gargoyle to prevent me from having any more paint accidents LOL
although if they're not doing their job, maybe not!
Really cute garden statues though :)
XOXO
What a nice retirement gift for a gardener. I don't believe I got one gift when I retired. Naughty kitties indeed!
Love your critters!! We are in a week long heat wave so I have no idea how my flowers are going to look by the end of it!! Free flowers are always good!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs,
Deb
I can see why critters might be a little afraid of them. Great idea.
That would be quite annoying, you clearly need some more gargoyles. And maybe a large dog too!
HUM, maybe you should put the gargoyles right in the window box......That ought to do it!

I like your gargoyle collection. I'm sure they are very sorry they didn't protect your window box ;) Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.
i have never had good luck with these ferns and my middle name is Fern! ha
you surely have a green thumb.

may you have a sweet week-end,

Goodness that gargoyle is busy trying to keep those cats at bay! Always fun to see you here. we are heading to Kansas Friday to set Nick up in his dorm. I can not believe this will be his second year. Time flies quickly! Have a great week and keep digging in that garden! Hugs Anne
