Today's Flowers

Queen of Late--NO MORE! I officially checked out of school for the summer on Friday. So did the kindergarten teacher! Who knows what is going to happen because the two of us are on vacation. At least we have a week before summer classes begin.

Now the real work in the garden begins! Lots of annuals to plant in all my pots. I finished painting my shabby looking planters. They weren't the shabby look of decorating...they were just plain ugly!
This clematis will soon be in the ground, whenever I decide WHERE it will go.
The iris are blooming and smelling so sweet.
I plan to make a memory garden of roses for Wally this summer. He loved going to shop for them for his mom and me. We had roses of all colors at his memorial service last September.
Even though I'm LATE for Today's Flowers, I'm linking up because it is so much fun to have visitors and visit around the world! Thanks to our hosts!

Fair Grounds Barn Quilts #17-21

DOT and I went to the county fair grounds one Saturday recently looking for six blocks that were listed in the paper. We only found five and can't imagine where the other one is hiding, unless it is in the arena somewhere.
Shoofly, above. Sawtooth star, below.
Ribbon Star, below.
Hourglass / Nine patch, below.
Sarah's favorite, Double Pinwheel.
If I ever have any Barn Quilt blocks mislabeled, please let me know and I'll correct the names. I try to do some research and use the list I have from the Barn Quilts website and the newspaper. I noticed all these blocks are made from nine smaller blocks. ♥♫

Tea Time Tuesday!

This time of year I'm always behind in everything I do. Didn't make it last week to tea with Sandi, and don't want to miss it again because it's so much fun!
Sarah spoils me and brought home this new PINK teapot and wonderful cozy!
I've secretly wanted one for quite some time. It's so well made it could be turned inside out, although there's the cutest tag on the bottom hidden on the other side.
There were also two packages of scone mix with the teapot! I made one batch and intended to take pictures of the cherry almond scones. There are a few in the freezer for another time.
The mini cup and saucer were from GW and the miniature rose is outside now.

My daughter makes me feel so special and happy. God Blessed me with her.

He will yet fill your mouth with laughing, and your lips with rejoicing. Job 8:21

Please visit Sandi for other tea time delights.
