Retirement Planning

The REAL count down to the end of school is underway. It actually started in January, and then I lost track, and have started over several times. I have never really counted days as my students and I always had things to do. But, RETIREMENT is coming!!
One of the things I am thinking about doing (when school is not my priority) is creating jewelry. I asked Sarah to send me a picture of her necklace that I made for her wedding as I couldn't remember the details of it. I'm going through my huge Fire Mountain catalog looking for my favorites--Swarovski crystals and their pearls. The Swarovski pearls have crystal cores and are beautiful and affordable.

Other plans include the GARDEN. It's windy and getting warmer, but yesterday was a better day. Where was I? At school. So it's off to the yard for a little cleaning. :)

Crystals and Pearls

It's been a while since I've made any jewelry - got these four necklaces finished for the bridesmaids.
Swarovski crystals and pearls.
They look so much prettier in person and have lots more sparkle! They are on a long runner I found at GW. I doubt that it was ever used as it's in perfect condition.

On to a necklace for Sarah.

Congratulations Jennell and Matt!!

Congratulations to our newest family--Mr. and Mrs. J. !! The wedding was wonderful and since the camera was not in my hands, I could enjoy the ceremony. The bride is the lovely young woman in the red and black on the right.

Got the jewelry finished last Friday evening and the girls and Jennell's mom all wore one of the necklaces from the Swarovski pearls and crystals. I loved how everyone sparkled in the soft light of the chapel. Hope you don't mind another picture -- the previous one from earlier just has the bead stoppers to keep the beads on the wire.
I will be working on a silver, dark siam (red), and crystal bracelet for my 100th post winner because those are the colors she would like! Now it's time to practice for the program at school tomorrow night. TTFN!
