Colorado has a summer weather phenomenon that brings rain in July and August.
We've had rain for about eight days now and yesterday I went outside and heard a motor. I thought it was from a four wheeler, but none was in sight. It was a pump to drain the neighbor's pond (aka field)! I've never seen this field flood in more than 14 years!
It did make for a damp morning with these tiny drops on my Black Hills pine, my favorite evergreen with short, short needles.
The third group of lilies is now blooming and luckily were protected from the winds that came with the storm.
They also had rain drops.
Special note for Sarah: I did sew all day...but am taking a wee break. My problem is that I sew like I did when I was in 4-H and earned champion ribbons. I need to just "let it go" and GET IT DONE.

Hi Marilyn-- Mike keeps telling me that you have had rain and more rain. No monsoon in Southern Colorado - we get a little thunder then a couple drops of rain, but that is all. Keep sewing - time is close! Sally
And we're so dry!!!! -- and we're neighbors!!!
Miss M...my hubby won't let me buy ANY MORE CHAIRS! No matter how cute they are...one has to go before I can drag a new/old one home.
Mean man!
:)
xo~Thank you for visiting today.

Yes - wet for a change! We had bad hail at our house 2 nights ago but only rain at the store. Great photos!
Marilyn; thanks for visiting my blog. I am now following you, too, and love those pink lillies--I have some dark orange lillies ready to bloom any day now--seems everything started late here this year. Still waiting on my hydrangeas to bloom too! Have a great weekend.
Hello!!
Thanks so much for your visit!!
We have had quite a bit of rain here in Pa. too. I am glad though as all my new plants are doing so well in my little Cottage Garden!!
Have a great day!!
Hugs,
Debbie
Sweet Blessings to you. I just said a prayer for you and daughter to be comforted during this time of missing Wallace. May God sweetly comfort you. I am sorry for the loss of husband and father. I don't agree with the saying time heals all wounds...I think God helps us with the healing process and time cannot put the healing touch on us that's needed. So may God touch you now.
Your lilies are gorgeous. So very pretty.
The rain is needed in our area. May it come soon.
God bless,
d
Thank you for visiting me today sweet M~
