Daffy Down Dilly

I am so excited that I have flowers blooming. AT LAST. Ah...
The theme must be miniatures lately because these are tiny ones. The flax and violets are also growing now that we've had warmer days.
Lots of cleaning to do and rearranging, such as the black fencing that was holding back something last summer.
Daffy down dilly has come to town,
In a yellow petticoat and a green gown.

I'm linking to Today's Flowers as seen in my sidebar. This is the first time I've joined in and think this will be a great blog to visit!

Wee Teacup

The teacup is only about one inch tall and the saucer is 2 1/4 " across! On the bottom it says it was made in England and Foley bone china. I can remember having this in my bedroom when we moved to our house when I was in third grade--so it must be at least 50 years old!
It is one of my dearest treasures that I have because I'm pretty sure it was from my maternal grandmother. Most of the treasures from this side of my family are handmade quilts, afghans, and crocheted pieces.
Memories of things my grandma and I did together are treasures to me, too. One time
she and I made German grebble for my college social studies class! We'd go shopping for her groceries, have dinners of chicken noodle soup and butterballs. She was a wonderful, kind and loving person. She showed her true love everyday, just like in this Psalm.

Psalm 42:8 (King James Version)

8Yet the LORD will command his loving kindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.

Easter Greetings

The lily that blooms around Easter is a symbol of Christ's resurrection because it rises from a seemingly lifeless bulb decaying in the ground. It is also used as a symbol of Christ himself.
May you experience the love of our risen Savior on Easter and everyday. We are an Easter people! Thanks be to God!
