Colorado Quilts for 9/11

This ten piece quilt is hanging in our state capitol building in Denver. The story is in the Denver Post and moved me to tears this morning.
Please take time to read about it and the quilters. You may click on the picture or here for the article.

Oh Marilyn, I was so touched by this post. Such effort and beauty that went into making these quilts. I felt compelled to respond. From 1990 - 2000 I worked in the Boston Prudential Center tower, which stands 54 floors tall. One of my co-workers loved to quilt, and even had one of her quilts on display at an employee arts fair on the top floor of our building. Her name was Deb Medwig. She was on Flight 175, the 2nd to hit the towers. I like to remember her as she was - a wife, mother, talented quilter and respected manager, rather than how she perished. She would have loved those quilts in Denver.
Thank you for sharing,
Susan

Gorgeous! I nearly missed this post too! My blogroll is slow about updating. These quilts are just a wonderful way to honor those lost on that fateful day.
